Ancestor Appreciation Day
In 1857, John and Edy Turner moved here from Tennessee and founded Turnersville. In the 1860s, they renamed the town to Daisy, after the mining company. In 1889, the family moved to our current location and named our town Turners.
|
In 1918, another Turner family member, Joe Gault, purchased the property. His granddaughter, Jill, and great granddaughter, Candace, are 6th and 7th generation to live and work on this piece of land that has been continuously owned by Turner descendants and follow in the footsteps of our ancestors.
